The Volunteer Fireman's Association of Liberty Borough was organized in September 1927. We are located approximately ten miles South of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Sitting between the Monongahela and Youghiogheny rivers, we primarily serve a one square mile area that covers 2,600 residents. We are an all volunteer department comprised of members of the community who are willing to dedicate their time to training and serving others in the community. In addition to our firefighters, we also have highly trained vehicle rescue technicians and emergency medical providers. We respond to an average of 180 fire-related calls each year and participate in many community oriented functions within Liberty Borough. Feel free to contact us for more information!
The flag currently displayed in front of our station was donated in honor of Petty Officer Second Class Hilary L. Baker, US Navy, Vietnam, 1968-1974. Thank you for your service!
